In-person classes can reopen  in Maharashtra state.

Maharashtra: Higher and Technical Education Minister, Uday Samant says, In eight days, we will decide what percentage of physical colleges can be started based on the district's corona background when starting a physical college.

In eight days, the two directors have been instructed to speak to all the district collectors, followed by the universities, and all our work will begin next academic year, which is the academic year that UGC has set for us.

The results of the online exams given by the students till today will take place in the next fifteen to twenty days or a month but we have suggested to the Vice-Chancellor that the next academic year should start physically.

Now, if the situation in Konkan is different during the COVID-19 period, it will have different criteria.

If the situation in Mumbai is different during the COVID-19 period, it will have different criteria.

If the situation in Pune is different during the COVID-19 period, it will have different criteria.

The district of thirteen universities will also have to set different criteria when starting a college and for that the university should discuss with the district collector, the commissioner there, with both our directors, but next academic year we will try to start you physically in any situation.

At the same time, whether it is  Government of Maharashtra or the emergency fund of the university, if we can do some vaccination at the university level, then colleges will be started as soon as possible and we are trying to start it.

In-person classes can reopen  in these districts where the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) positivity rate is low.

Uday Samant Said about Colleges Fee Waiver:

The decision of the school education department to waive 15 per cent fee is a decision of the Supreme Court which was not taken by the cabinet.

My department’s decision fee waiver was in three stages I had spoken it several times.  We have already reduced the 2 phase.

We have reduced the fee of the government college by sixteen thousand two hundred and fifty rupees for this year.  We have also decided to reduce the fees of aided and unaided colleges affiliated to the university.

(Excluding Teaching Fee) It has been decided to charge Library and Library Fee 50℅ in the remaining fee.  The reason for charging library fee is because e-library is running so we are charging 50℅ fee.

Another important decision is that the university has decided to waive the full fees  of the students whose parents have died due to covid-19 pandemic, till the end of their education.
