    Assam: The state reports 2,453 new COVID-19 cases, 2,902 recoveries and 27 deaths today. There are 23,914 active cases are undergoing treatment.

  • Tamil Nadu: Lockdown in Tamil Nadu extended for one more week, till July 12th, with further relaxations.
    Shops and activities which were allowed till 7 pm shall be operated till 8 pm. Hotels and tea shops can function with 50% of customers. Intradistrict & inter-district public transport will be allowed with 50% seating capacity.


  • India’s cumulative COVID Vaccination Coverage exceeded 34.41 crore (34,41,00,158). Of which, 38,88,643 vaccine doses were administered today as per the 7 pm provisional report.

  • Zydus Cadila receives final approval from USFDA for Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate tablets. The drug is used with other HIV medications to help control HIV infection.


  • Karnataka: We have received 7.5 lakh Covishield doses. The Central govt has allotted 4.5 lakh extra doses to the state. I will visit Delhi on Monday to request more vaccines to Karnataka.

  • Kerala: We do have a shortage of vaccines. Today, the total vaccines present are around 7 lakh. We have the infrastructure to vaccinate 2.5 lakh people each day. We are asking the Centre to provide us with more vaccines. Wastage of vaccine in Kerala is in negative.

    Requirements for proof of vaccination issued outside the EU

    People who have been fully vaccinated can be exempted from the EU entry ban, unless they are travelling from a country that has been designated as a very high-risk area due to the presence of a variant of concern

    Proof of vaccination

    Proof of vaccination is accepted only if it: 

    • has been issued following vaccination with a vaccine that has been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or is on the Emergency Use Listing of the World Health Organization (WHO);
    • has been issued based on full vaccination. That means that:
      • the vaccination schedule consists of a single dose and this single dose has been administered (Janssen); or
      • the vaccination schedule consists of two doses and:
        • both doses have been administered, or
        • one dose has been administered and it has been confirmed that the person vaccinated had previously been infected with the virus SARS-CoV-2
    • has been issued in one of the following languages: 
      • Dutch
      • English
      • French
      • German
      • Italian
      • Portuguese
      • Spanish
    • includes the following: 
      • information identifying the person who has been vaccinated.
      • information demonstrating that the person in question has been fully vaccinated against the virus SARS-CoV-2.
      • the name of the vaccine and the name of the manufacturer or marketing authorisation holder of each dose of the vaccine administered.
      • the date on which each dose of the vaccine was administered.
      • the name of the country in which the vaccine was administered.
      • the name of the issuer of the proof of vaccination.
      • a signature or stamp of authenticity placed by the issuer.

  • Central government rushes teams to 6 States for COVID-19 control and containment measures.
